What is a Clay Bar?

 

An auto detailing clay bar is a synthetic clay used to remove contaminants from your paint surface, that washing alone cannot do.  The clay glides along the panels and removes anything on the surface.  Clay bars must be used with a lubricant, like spray wax, to prevent scratching on the surface.  The final result is a clean, smooth surface, ready for waxing or polishing.
